Retro Looks In The Modern World: Paris Je T'Aime

As much as the fashion world looks forward it also continually looks back in time. My new blog feature is Retro Looks In The Modern World where I will showcase retro themes and inspirations found in modern magazines, designer collections, and more!
Last week I saw The September Issue, the documentary about Anna Wintour and the making of Vogue magazine. If you haven't seen it, you must! Vogue often features vintage inspired editorials. In the film, they are editing the September 2007 issue and featured a 1920's themed fashion spread called Paris Je T'Aime. Styled by Grace Coddington and shot my Steven Meisel. Here are some amazing shots from that feature:

I remember this layout well. I had just purchased a cloche 1920s hat and thought I was so chic because Vogue was showing a similar hat in their layout! LOL! Those outfits are still so lovely. Style is timeless.

Thanks doll,
