My View: Anniversary Vacation Key West

This is part two of my anniversary vacation pics. The first part of our vacation was in Miami. We then drove down to Key West for the remainder of our week to relax and soak up some sun! If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen some of these, but not all were shared until now. 

This Northern girl made it to the Southernmost Point! 90 Miles to Cuba! 

We arrived in Key West on our Anniversary date- May 20th! We watched the amazing sunset! 

Key West is very charming! Old houses like this are everywhere. This one is for sale, and got me day dreaming. I don't want to know how much this costs!

Me and my sweet husband. This was taken at the Blue Heaven. A gem of a restaurant with live music, an artsy rustic feel, and chickens running around! My dress is from Trashy Diva and I bought it on our Honeymoon in New Orleans in 2011!

It was a wonderful break from New York City and our hectic lives. Must return! 

My View: Anniversary Vacation Miami

I'm back from a wonderfully much needed vacation with my husband of 3 years! We decided to spend our Anniversary this year in Florida in a 2 part vacation; first in Miami and then in Key West. Here are some photos from the Miami part of our trip. If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen some of these pics, but not all were shared until now. 

We stayed at The Raleigh, which I have been dreaming about staying at forever! This place will become my "retreat" from NYC. Easy to get to and just beautiful!

We took relief from the sun at Mac's Club Deuce, an old dive bar. I love my Anchor manicure I got at Nailed on South Beach. 

 Here's an outfit pic- wearing my Fruity Peasant Blouse and my Yellow Fat Bottom Bag with Cherries. You may remember, the lining of the bag matches the top. All made by me, except for my red Trashy Diva pencil skirt. 

Ahhh the pool! Back at The Raleigh I wore my Esther William's swimsuit in Esther William's pool. That's right! 

My View: Maine Vacation Pics

I am back from an amazing week long vacation in my home state of Maine! I hadn't been in 4 years and that was way too long.  Below are some snaps that I shared on my Instagram while I was away. You can see why I missed my home so much!

This shot of the Atlantic was taken at my favorite spot in my hometown of York on the cliffs over looking York Harbor. Quite possibly my favorite spot in the world.

Again taken from the Cliff Walk in York Harbor. We walked this every morning, it never gets old.

Our lovely inn in York. I've wanted to stay here since I was a little girl! 

We also spent several nights in West Boothbay Harbor. This was our view from our rental cottage. We enjoyed the rustic life for a few days and the peaceful views.

Mid-Week Inspiration: Summer Fun!

Oh it will soon be the last week of August! I want to be like the ladies above frolicking on the beach! I will be taking the next week and half off from blogging to do just that! I will also be catching up on museum exhibits and my blog reading. When I return I will have some blog awards to send out, new inspirations, more fashionable histories, and more. Stay tuned and enjoy the summer wind down!

Back From Vacation, Back To Work

I'm back from a restful vacation. I spent 5 days in New Hampshire visiting my sister and her family. It was very cold and there was so much snow! Here I am in front of a giant snow bank from my sister's single car driveway...not a parking lot. I'm wearing my vintage chenille winter coat that I actually bought in New Hampshire at a great vintage boutique not too far from this snowbank, in 1995 for $18! Unfortunately the shop no longer exists but the coat does, and it is my warmest! The handbag is my Alexander McQueen bag I bought last year in Miami for a lot more than $18. Save on the coat...splurge on the bag! Ok, back to work.

Mid-Week Inspiration: Time to Relax

I know my blogging has been minimal this month. The new year has started on a very busy foot in my personal life and a lot of work has been put aside. Not to mention being sick with a cold or a sinus infection with what seems like every week! Instead of getting hard on myself like I normally do for letting my work slide, I have decided to take this time to relax a little, recharge my battery, and gather up some new inspiration. I'm going on vacation for the rest of the month. I will return soon with a normal blogging schedule and some new goodies for my stores, Femme Fatale Vintage and The Sparkling Cocktail. Until then a little hibernation and family visits are in order. xoxo
