My View: On Top of the Empire State

My Grandparents spent their honeymoon in the 1930's in NYC. I have always adored this elegant photo of them on top of the Empire State Building. The day after my husband and I got married we withstood the long lines and went up to the top of the Empire State to "recreate" this photo.
Once there, we found it impossible to get a full body shot as my Grandparents did. The deck is too narrow and way too crowded. It looks like my Grandparents had the deck to themselves. Also, note the gate that wasn't there in the 30's. Fascinating.
A view of the Chrysler Building. My favorite.

This view is very close to wear my Grandparents were standing. The view hasn't changed that much. I love it!

My View: Married at City Hall

My blogging has been really sporadic as of late, and for good reason. I have been working long days at my full time job, planning my wedding, looking for an apartment and so much more! Now I can say I am married!! Last Friday, my fiance and I tied the knot at City Hall in Manhattan and had a blast!

I love this City Hall back drop, it was perfect! We had a few friends join us as witnesses and laughed and joked the entire day!
My handsome husband!
For my dress, I shopped in my own closet... I wore an ivory cotton and black tulle Veronique Branquinho dress I bought about 11 years ago at Jeffrey that I never wore! It still had the tags on it. Where has the time gone? I accessorized it with a vintage hat I recently bought at Bombshell Bettie's, back seamed stockings, a 50's Lucite purse I bought in Phoenix, and red suede Marc Fisher shoes.
The necklace belonged to my Memere from the 50's/60's with fabulous blue rhinestones!

Now on to moving into a new apartment and saving up for a honeymoon!
