My Vintage Vanity: Vintage Lingerie

I've been very lucky to recently find some amazing vintage lingerie to offer you all in my Etsy shop; The Sparkling Cocktail. I love vintage lingerie and to be honest, I would love to keep all of this for myself. But that wouldn't be fair, would it? Some of these pieces still have the original tags. Here's a look at what's new:

So pretty! This pale pink peignoir is hard to date with elements from several decades. My approximation is late 40's early 50's. I love the sleeves! 

1950's bubble gum pink tulle crinoline!! With original tags! The tag says "Widest Sweep" and they aren't kidding! 

Nothing looks better under vintage dresses than vintage foundation garments! This 1960's longline cinch bra will hold you all in and feel pretty! Think Joan Harris on Mad Men. 

This unique sixties nightgown is so adorable! Red nylon chiffon with Spanish fans! Complete with a pocket! I would live in this on my days off!

The Fall 2013 Louis Vuitton ad campaign is so beautiful and 1930's romantic! The look is retro inspired slips worn underneath fur coats. Fairly simple but styled so wonderfully. I can't wait for more of this campaign to be released!

Mid-Week Inspiration: Latte Wedding

Latte is an overlooked color when it comes to weddings. I've been inspired by it for awhile and I think it will become more and more popular. Yes, I'm sensing a trend!

The setting- a barn at the end of the Summer / early Autumn. 

The dress- frothy latte colored chiffon! 

The cake- you can guess the flavor! This color way is beautiful!

Sewing projects are in order this Summer! I am committed to making more of my own clothes. Here is some patterns and newly purchased fabric for summer sewing goodness! 

The yarn arrived from Craftsy for the Mystery Knit Along! It's no longer a mystery. The pattern is now available. We are making a lacy shawl! My first one! 

Discovered this van completely yarn bombed! Wow! 

Spent the first day of Summer at the High Line afterwork to watch the sun set with my sweetie!
