My Projects: Black Swiss Dot Peasant Blouse

After being inspired to make myself some peasant blouses this Summer, I have one of several complete!

I used black Swiss dot and vintage pattern Butterick 9768 pictured below. Like the lady in blue, I paired mine with a gingham skirt.

The pattern is super simple and fast, which I am hoping will mean I can find the time to complete at least two more before the Summer is over. I would love even more!

Photos were taken last Saturday on a very hot day here in Brooklyn on our way to the Renegade Craft Fair.

I love this blouse and I can't wait to make more!

Mid-Week Inspiration: Gingham

Summer is well on it's way!! I never tire of gingham in the summer and I can't wait to start wearing it again. Here's some inspiration as we wait for hotter days:

On My Wish List: Shabby Apple Swim!

Oh, how I would love to be next to a pool right now! It's March and the charm of Winter is getting tired. While I won't be poolside for who knows how long, that won't stop me from dreaming of some pretty swimwear. I'm loving the retro vibe of Shabby Apple's newest swim line. The pieces are sold separately too, so you can mix up top and bottom sizes!

Vintage Finds of the Week: Pic-nic Time!

I've been dreaming of daycations and pic-nics in the park. For my Etsy vintage finds of the week I have found some terrific items to make it happen! I just need to add a nice bottle of wine, some cheese and crackers, my sweet fellow and I'm ready to go!
